A focus on discipline being developmental first, with punitive steps being taken as a secondary measure.The aim is to help supervisors and managers to more effectively coach and manage their direct reports.  Elements of the Employment Rights Act as they relate to discipline will be incorporated.

The objectives of the workshop are to ensure participants understand:

  • The principles of developmental discipline.
  • Their role as “coach” in managing their direct reports’ performance/conduct on the job.
  • The elements in the Employment Rights Act 2012 relating to discipline and how they are to be applied in their organisation.

Participants will leave with knowledge of the requirements of the Act and a practical and systematic approach to progressive discipline. 

The training will be of benefit to those with supervisory or management responsibility.
